Cancelling is yours to do, in Stripe, in seconds. Refunds are not automatic, and every request goes through the form on this page.
Version 1.1Last updated 9 October 2026Cancel any time, no notice period
The short version, which is not the policy
Cancel yourself in Manage billing. No notice, no fee, nothing to send us.
Access runs to the end of the period you paid for, then your key drops to the free plan.
Refunds are not automatic and part periods are not pro-rated.
Want one looked at? The form on this page opens a ticket and a person answers it. Not by email.
1The position
Subscription payments are not refunded automatically, including part months and unused time after a cancellation. Part periods are not pro-rated.
We would rather say that plainly here than bury it in a clause you find later. It is not the end of the conversation though: the form further down goes to a person, and exceptions get looked at on the facts.
None of this affects your statutory rights.
2Cancel yourself, in seconds
Open Manage billingOn the plan card in your dashboard. It opens Stripe's billing portal with your subscription in it.
Cancel the planOne click. No notice period, no cancellation fee, no retention call, nothing to send us.
Carry on to the end of the periodYour dashboard shows the exact date your access runs to.
A refund cancels any partner commission on that sale.
Cancelling and asking for a refund are different things. Cancelling is yours to do and takes effect without us. A refund is a request, and it comes through the form below.
3What happens to your key
Nothing breaks the moment you cancel. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and your key answers exactly as it did.
When the period ends, the same key drops to the free plan. Endpoints your new plan does not include return 402, and everything the free key covers keeps working. Your integration degrades rather than dying.
Your account, key and history stay put, so coming back later is one checkout.
4Why we work this way
Because you can judge the whole thing before you spend anything. The free key is real rows from the same archive, not a sandbox and not a countdown, so you can check coverage, response shapes and data quality first.
Given that, a refund window mostly funds people who use a month and ask for the money back, and everyone else pays for it in the price. Keeping it simple keeps the price where it is.
5What we always put right
The position above is about changing your mind. It is not a shield for our mistakes. These we fix, and the form is how you tell us:
A double charge, or a charge after you cancelled. Refunded in full.
A billing error on our side: wrong plan, wrong amount, wrong period.
A charge you do not recognise. Tell us and we will find it with you rather than sending you to your bank.
The API materially broken for a meaningful part of a period you paid for.
Come to us before raising a chargeback. It is faster, and a chargeback freezes the account while the bank investigates.
6Changing plan instead
Moving up takes effect immediately, and the difference is added to your next invoice rather than charged on the spot.
Moving down also takes effect immediately, and the unused part of what you paid is credited against your next invoice.
Both are in Manage billing, alongside cancelling. If a smaller plan covers what you need, that is usually a better answer than a refund.

A refund review is tied to the account that was charged, so we need to know which one it is. Sign in and you come straight back to this form.
